Who is the Millennial Generation?

This is the question that the New Voices Survey sets out to answer, specifically in terms of how Millennials (16-29 year-olds) view the workplace, the importance of work/life balance, and where and to whom they turn when starting the job search.

This edition of the survey focuses on Health Care, specifically how the attitudes of aspiring nurses compare and contrast with the attitudes of those aspiring to other careers.

Some findings include:
• 82% of Millennial nurse aspirants would speak to a professor or instructor about career information, compared to only 51% of aspirants to other careers.
• Over two-thirds (69%) discuss education on social networking sites, as opposed to only 51% of other career aspirants.
•On average, nurse aspirants assigned higher importance ratings for social responsibility when choosing an employer (4.16 on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being "most important,") than other career aspirants (3.62).
