On May 14th, Bernard Hodes Group and CampusRN revealed the results of their joint Student Research Study.
This comprehensive study provides valuable insights into how to recruit nursing students. It delves into topics such as: career paths, career motivators, job search behavior, employers’ career sites, employer preferences, diversity, social networking, and more.
Findings include:
- The top five ways students have/would find out about nursing employment opportunities are career fairs (51%), online job boards (50%), clinical rotations (40%), family/friend referrals (25%), and career sites (20%).
- On average, students check job search related sites about 4.59 times per month.
- Students' most cited important attributes for selecting an employer are salary (54%), hours/schedule (45%), benefits (45%), quality of management and staff (45%), and tuition reimbursement/continuing education allowance (41%).
